Asprey began as a silk printer in 1781 and moved into dressing cases and travelling equipment, then silver and jewellery. It has held royal warrants almost continuously and its workshops still do bespoke work.
The Bruton Street building was reworked by Norman Foster, and the ground floor is worth walking into for the display cases alone.
