Singular shops, makers and British institutions worth travelling for. Unique gifts for others, and perfect gifts to yourself.
The studio of the milliner who has made hats for Dior, Vivienne Westwood and most of British pop since 1980.
Hats
Jones opened here in 1980 in the middle of the New Romantic years, and the shop has been in Covent Garden ever since with the workroom directly behind it. He has designed for Dior's couture collections for over two decades.
The window is worth a detour on its own. The shop sells a ready-to-wear range as well as taking bespoke commissions, and the hats are made upstairs.
