Summerill & Bishop

A Notting Hill kitchen shop that treats a linen tablecloth as seriously as a Savile Row tailor treats a suit.

June Summerill and Bernadette Bishop opened in 1994 in what had been a dairy, and the shop is arranged as a room rather than a display - long tables laid with the linen, the hand-painted ceramics and the French kitchen equipment they have been collecting for thirty years.

The linen is their own design and made in Italy, and it is what people come for. The building keeps its dairy tiling.
