Liquorice is the one confection people announce they hate, and this shop is built around changing their minds: pearls of salty Danish liquorice coated in chocolate - dark, milk, caramel, sea buckthorn, whatever the season is - sold in tubes by the letter, with the seasonal editions given roman numerals.
The company says in plain terms that it intends to offer a free sample to every person on the planet, and has worked out that this will take four hundred and twelve years and two hundred and ninety-two days. What it means in practice is that you will be handed one at the door, which is the honest way to sell liquorice to a country that thinks it does not like it.
