Anita is a gelateria on the short stretch between Cambridge Circus and Seven Dials, which puts it within a few minutes of most of the theatres and makes it an obvious stop before a curtain or after one. There are seats on the pavement, which in this part of London is worth more than it sounds.
The counter runs to a long row of flavours at once, and the house habit is combinations rather than single scoops - two or three in a cup with a topping, which is how the chain does it everywhere.
