The sweet course as a destination: gelato and ice cream, cakes and patisserie, chocolate, and the dessert bars where pudding is the whole point. Bread and the morning are next door, in Bakeries.
The shop Chantal Coady opened in 1983, where the whole thing started.
Chocolate
Rococo began on the King's Road when British chocolate still meant a box of assorted creams, and the blue-and-white wrappers, the single-origin bars and the hand-made bonbons all came out of this one shop. The flavoured bars - sea salt, cardamom, chilli and orange - were strange enough at the time to be the argument.
The shop does not publish its opening hours.
