Where the person behind the stall grew it. London's farmers' markets, most of them one morning a week: raw milk and day-boat fish, biodynamic vegetables and rare-breed meat, and two midweek markets that are really about lunch.
Food halls, street food and the daily markets are in Food Markets
A lunch market twice a week behind SOAS, where everything either comes off a farm or is cooked from one.
MidweekHot food to eat there
This is the one to eat at rather than shop at: dosas, doughnuts, fresh pasta and pizza, made from ingredients that either came straight from the farm or were grown locally. Two days a week rather than one, which is unusual, and it fills Woburn Square with people from the university and the squares around it.
The market has moved to the south end of Woburn Square while works go on at its usual pitch, and is smaller than it was. Wednesdays and Thursdays, 09:00 to 14:00.
