Farmers' Markets

Where the person behind the stall grew it. London's farmers' markets, most of them one morning a week: raw milk and day-boat fish, biodynamic vegetables and rare-breed meat, and two midweek markets that are really about lunch.

Westminster Bridge Lunch Farmers' Market

Thursday lunch in the hospital gardens, looking across the river at Parliament.

MidweekHot food to eat there

A lunch market rather than a shopping one: hot food from a long list of kitchens - Japanese, Sri Lankan, British, Vietnamese, Afghan - all of it built on seasonal, high-welfare ingredients, with coffee, cake, bread and produce alongside.

The setting does the rest. St Thomas' Hospital Gardens sit directly opposite the Palace of Westminster, so lunch comes with the view across the river. Established September 2017; Thursdays, ten until three.
