In the books the Hogwarts Express leaves from a platform between 9 and 10, which the real station does not have, so a luggage trolley was set into a wall of the western concourse when the station was rebuilt in 2012, with a scarf for each house and a photographer. The films shot the platform scenes between real platforms 4 and 5, and used St Pancras next door for the outside. Rowling has said she was picturing Euston when she wrote it. The shop beside the trolley sells wands, robes and the sweets from the trolley witch's cart.
