The platform, the alley, the bank and the bridge: where the books are set and the films were shot, the studio where the sets still stand, and the day trips to Hogwarts' lake and the Quidditch woods.
The Gothic hotel that played the outside of King's Cross in Chamber of Secrets, when the Ford Anglia took off.
Filming locationFree
George Gilbert Scott's Midland Grand Hotel of 1873, red brick and spires along the Euston Road, was too good for the films to pass over: it stands in for King's Cross in Chamber of Secrets, with Harry and Ron leaving in the flying Anglia from its forecourt, and again in Deathly Hallows Part 2. The station behind it is where Eurostar leaves, under Barlow's single-span roof of 1868, and the hotel reopened in 2011 after decades empty.
