A single Saturday in Cheam Park given over to South African music, food and sport - the word lekker does the work of good, nice and enjoyable all at once, and jol is roughly a party you do not want to leave. The 2026 bill had Prime Circle, Goodluck, Majozi, Kevin Fraser and the comedian Cokey Falkow; the food is braai and boerewors, and the rugby goes up on a screen.
It runs noon to nine, last entry at eight, and it is as much a reunion for the South African community in Britain as it is a festival - which is the point of it being here rather than under music. Two hundred and eighteen people reviewed the 2026 edition and the commonest complaint was the length of the bar queue.
The 2026 festival was on Saturday 29 August and is over. The organisers are taking registrations for 2027 but have not announced a date; it will be listed here as soon as they do.
