A Greek painter who worked under the colonels, shown in Britain for the first time.
Art & designFree
Giorgos Ioannou would have been a hundred this year. He painted prolifically in Greece and is barely known here, and the work in this show comes from the late 1960s and 1970s - the years of the military dictatorship - when the politics started pushing up through the pop surfaces. The first substantial presentation of him in Britain. Free.
