Jeremy Leslie opened the shop in 2015 as the retail end of his magazine studio and journal, and it stocks what the newsagent cannot: a few hundred independent magazines chosen by hand, from Delayed Gratification and The Gentlewoman to titles printed in runs of a thousand in Lisbon or Seoul, with events in the shop and a podcast recorded from it. At the edge of literary London, since a magazine is not a book - but for editorial writing and design as it is practised now, there is nowhere better to stand.
