Harvest Festival at the Garden Museum

The museum's harvest day, in a churchyard where two of the men who brought these plants to England are buried.

At Garden Museum.

A day of harvest - produce, growers, things to make and to eat - in the garden of the old church of St Mary-at-Lambeth.

The churchyard is the point. John Tradescant and his son, gardeners to Charles I, are buried in it, and between them they brought back a great deal of what an English garden now takes for granted. The knot garden outside is planted with what they collected.
