The Greater London Council licensed films for London cinemas, and its Film Viewing Board files survive in the archive under one catalogue reference. They do not cover everything released, but the variety is the point: folders on The Cabinet of Dr Caligari, on The Killing of Sister George, on the films that caused trouble.
