Linocut demons and moons with faces, in the free library.
Art & designFree
At Quentin Blake Centre for Illustration.
Sophy Hollington carves into lino, rolls on ink and burnishes the paper with the back of a spoon, and fills every inch of the block — winged demons, anthropomorphic moons, priestesses in stilettos, drawn out of medieval alchemical manuscripts, European folktales and Old English poetry, with the look of 1960s graphic design. She is the first artist in a display that changes. Free.
