A season on what is being made in east London now, in a museum that has just moved there.
Art & designFree
At V&A East Museum.
V&A East opened in the Olympic park in a part of London that has made things - furniture, clothing, chemicals, ships - for three hundred years, and was largely written about as somewhere things were made cheaply. This season is about what is being made there now, and by whom.
It is the museum arguing its own case for being in Stratford rather than South Kensington, which is a fair thing to spend a first season on.
Free, and it closes in the middle of October.
