Fifty thousand sketchbook pages by an artist who fought the mental health system with them.
Art & designFree
The first museum show for Audrey Amiss (1933–2013), a Royal Academy Schools student whose training was cut off by a mental health crisis and who went on drawing for the rest of her life around a Civil Service job, producing something like fifty thousand sketchbook pages while campaigning against psychiatric mistreatment. Three of the exhibitions she staged herself are recreated. Free.
