Elephant and Castle has been the centre of London's Latin American life for decades, and Bola 8 is one of the rooms that carried on after the shopping centre which housed most of it was demolished. It is a bar first - forty-odd spirits, pool tables, sport on the screens - and a dancefloor later, for salsa, bachata and reggaeton. The crowd is largely Colombian and largely local, and the music is not a themed night: it is what the room plays.
