Pubs

The rooms worth crossing London for: the interiors CAMRA lists, the last galleried coaching inn, the pubs where something documented happened, and the ones that do one thing better than anyone. Filter by kind, or by what's open now.

Lord Clyde

Truman's tilework outside, half-panelled walls in, and a back room that kept its own serving hatch.

Historic interior

A corner building carrying Truman's tilework on the outside - the brewery's own advertising, baked into the face of the pub and outliving the brewery by fifty years. Inside, the walls are half-panelled throughout and there are curtains hung over the doors. Behind the main bar is a rear room that kept a serving hatch of its own.

One family had it for more than sixty years, until early in 2020. There is seating out on the pavement.
