Japan House is a cultural centre and Akira is its restaurant, one floor up, built around an open kitchen with seats at the counter or at tables. There is a long sushi list, but the robata charcoal grill is the reason to take the counter - asparagus, chicken thigh, miso pork belly, a skewer at a time. Lunch is a hakozen box in two sizes.
