A fonda in Mexico is a family place with a handful of tables; this one runs across two floors in light wood, foliage and painted tile. Lastra opened Kol before this, and the cooking here is the more relaxed of his two: carnitas cooked slowly and torn into tortillas made on the premises, after a long list of cocktails. The cheesecake is his own recipe.
