It is attached to a hotel and built to serve both the people in for one drink and the people staying for dinner, so the snacks get as much attention as the mains. The stovetop toastie and the fat chips are why most people are there; braised venison with hispi cabbage is the reason to stay on. The high ceiling is left over from the bank, and the Green Room is quieter.
