Giuseppe Lund's gates of 1993, with David Wynne's lion and unicorn, were unveiled by the Queen for her mother and paid for by public subscription; the flowing steel and the pale blue paintwork divided opinion at the time and still do, which the Queen Mother, who liked them, did not mind. They stand at the Hyde Park Corner entrance beside Apsley House, on the route of the Diana memorial walk.
