William Hamley opened a toy shop called Noah's Ark in Holborn in 1760 and the business has been on Regent Street since 1881. What makes it different from a shop with the same stock is the staff: each floor has demonstrators flying things, bouncing things and drawing a crowd, which is either the charm or the problem depending on the day and the child.
