Southall's Broadway sells one thing above all others, which is a wedding. Seven jewellers and seven clothes shops sit along the kilometre counted here, with two shops that do nothing but bridal wear, and the names say what they are: Darbari Fancy Textiles, Punjab Textiles, Dhamaka Fashion, Lebas e Uroos, Momen Collections for the outfits; Hafeez, Kabras, Gala, Shagoon and the Jewellery Trunk for the gold.
Singh Sweets and the other mithai shops do the boxes that go with it, and the travel agents along the same stretch sell the flights. Twenty-two places to eat in between.
