A science course that has run in prisons in five countries, and what it found out about teaching.
TalkScience & natureFree
At Geological Society of London.
Phil Heron's Think Like A Scientist began in England in 2017 and has since been taught in prisons in Canada, Australia, Finland and Spain, as well as in schools and adult education. The lecture is about what his students there - often with a bruising history with education - showed him about critical thinking, and about how much of the difficulty was in the teaching rather than the learners. Free, and you register for either the room or the stream. 18:00 to 19:00.
