The Croonian Lecture has been given since 1738 and is the Royal Society's premier lecture in the biological sciences. The 2026 medal goes to David Baker, whose laboratory in Seattle designs entirely new proteins from scratch and built much of the software that predicts how existing ones fold. Free, but book a ticket; doors at 18:00, lecture at 18:30.
