At Royal Society.

Anjali Goswami, research leader in palaeobiology at the Natural History Museum, has the Michael Faraday Prize for 2026, which the Royal Society gives for communicating science rather than for doing it. Her subject is evolution under pressure: what separates the groups that survive an environmental upheaval and diversify from the ones that are only ever found as fossils. Free, but you must book, and tickets are released in batches from 15 September. 18:30.
