Guided tours worth booking: walks led by people who know the streets, and the bus, river and cycling tours that earn their fare. Open one and the map shows the ground it covers, from where it meets.
Westminster by way of Lambeth, from a guide who is a trained actor and performs part of it.
Walking
Anne starts on the Lambeth side and crosses to the landmarks everyone comes for - the bridge, the clock tower, Parliament Square - by way of Archbishop's Park and several quieter places nobody photographs. She is a trained actor and performs passages of her own experience of being vulnerably housed rather than only describing it, which is a different thing to be given than a set of facts.
The other half of the walk is about the women and the unsung people of Lambeth and Westminster who changed something and are not on any plinth.
Unseen Tours' guides have all experienced homelessness and are paid for the walk. This one was built with training from Sama Sama International.
Adult £18, concessions £15, children under 15 £1 with a paying adult; book ahead, no tickets at the meeting point
