The club has been on Pollard Row since the nineteenth century and remains one, with a members' bar and a committee. Since the 2000s its hall — flock wallpaper, glitter curtain, a stage at one end — has been the home of a strand of London cabaret and burlesque that could not have happened anywhere smarter. The members are still there.
