The Worshipful Company of Musicians runs an annual award for young jazz musicians working in Britain, named for the singer Tina May, who won the first one. Six finalists are chosen from more than fifty nominations put forward by established players. A jury picks the winner on the night and the audience awards a prize of its own; the winner takes the Company's medal, £1,000 and a date in its 2027 programme. 19:30, £25.
