Keyboard Music

Organ, harpsichord, fortepiano and grand, each piece on the instrument it was written for.

Classical

At Royal Festival Hall.

The Southbank's keyboard strand runs the length of the season and takes the word broadly: the Royal Festival Hall organ, a harpsichord, a fortepiano and the concert grand all appear, which means hearing repertoire on the instruments it was written for rather than on the modern default.

Concerts are split across the Royal Festival Hall, the Queen Elizabeth Hall and the Purcell Room, so the room changes with the size of the instrument.
