The Southbank Centre opens its classical season with a week rather than a night, spread across the Royal Festival Hall, the Queen Elizabeth Hall, the Purcell Room and the Clore Ballroom. It is the clearest single look at what the resident orchestras and the year's featured artists intend to do, and the cheapest way to hear several of them without committing to a series.
