London's stages and concert rooms: the West End houses and the playhouses that make their own shows, the grand halls, the churches with a musical life, the jazz basements, the comedy clubs, the clubs proper, and the rooms above pubs where things start. What is on is listed under each venue, and in What's On.
What is on at them this week is in What's On: Performance
Free stand-up every night of the year, upstairs in an Islington pub.

This is where Angel Comedy began in 2010 and it is still the room that does the thing the club is known for: a free show, seven nights a week, with no ticket and a bucket at the end. The bill mixes established comics working out new material on an audience that has not paid with people doing their first five minutes ever, which is a combination you cannot really buy.
The pub is Victorian and the comedy is upstairs. Angel Comedy went on to buy its own place round the corner, and runs both.
