At The Old Vic.
Jack Thorne's adaptation, staged by Matthew Warchus with the stage pushed out into the stalls and lanterns hung the length of the auditorium. It has run most Christmases at the Old Vic since 2017 and the machinery of it — the handbells, the snow, the food carried over the audience's heads at the end — is by now the point as much as the story. Two hours with an interval. Ages 8 and up.
