In 1548 a peasant walked out on his wife and village in the Pyrenees; eight years later a man arrived claiming to be him, was accepted, lived as her husband for three years, and was then put on trial when the real Martin Guerre came back. Boublil and Schönberg wrote a musical about it after Les Misérables and never got it right; this is an all-new version, semi-staged, played in the round. Ages 12 and up, tickets from £14.50.
