Heavenly Recordings ran a club night through the 1990s and then opened a bar of their own in 1999: a ground-floor room and a basement stage on Little Portland Street, a minute from Oxford Circus and completely unlike anything else there. It holds a couple of hundred and programmes new bands, DJs and readings.
