Ntozake Shange's choreopoem, seven women and no plot in the usual sense.

At The Yard Theatre.

Shange wrote it in 1974 as twenty poems performed by seven women identified only by colour, moving between dance, monologue and song. It reached Broadway in 1976 and has never quite been categorised since.
