Run by Tower Hamlets, the festival returned in 2025 after a nine-year gap and comes back bigger, 12:00 to 19:00. Brick Lane and Banglatown become a street festival: restaurants serving regional and speciality dishes from street-side stalls, chef demonstrations, an opening procession with lion dancing and three giant puppets made for the day, and live music through the afternoon. Free to attend. Registering on Eventbrite, also free, gets you a code for 20 per cent off the bill at participating Brick Lane restaurants across the weekend.
