Rowed since 1829 on the Championship Course from Putney to Mortlake, with the women's race first and the men's an hour later. The whole thing is over in about twenty minutes and you will see perhaps thirty seconds of it. People come for the towpath, the pubs and forty thousand others on the bank.
The 2027 races are on Sunday 11 April at 15:40 and 16:40. It is a hundred years since the first Women's Boat Race, rowed in 1927.
