Wine from the main countries and regions at every price bracket, and staff whose stated habit is to ask whether you want advice rather than wait to be asked. The beer is the local half of it: most of the craft comes from breweries in south-east London, alongside cider, spirits, sake, vermouth and a shelf of snacks. Organic, biodynamic, natural, sustainable, vegetarian and vegan bottles can all be filtered for on their own site, which is more than most shops this size offer and useful if you are buying for somebody with a rule.
A few times a month they run informal walk-by tastings of what they stock - beer, wine and spirits - on the outside bar area, sometimes with a price on the day.
