Louis Fratino: Prose

Intimate paintings of gay domestic life that borrow openly from Picasso and Hartley.

Art & designFree

At David Zwirner.

Fratino paints intimate personal scenes, mostly of contemporary queer life and the male body, in bold colour and an expressive figuration that he has built out of a close reading of classical and modern Western art - the titles tell you as much, one of them nodding at Corot. His first solo show with the gallery since it began representing him this year, on Grafton Street. Free.
