Richard Serra's five leaning slabs of steel at the Liverpool Street entrance to Broadgate.
Outdoor sculptureFree
Five plates of weathering steel, each seventeen metres tall, propped against each other so that they hold themselves up, with a slot at the middle you can stand in and look up through; Serra made it in 1987 for the Broadgate development and it is the largest work by him in Britain. The rust is the surface, not neglect. Broadgate has a collection of sculpture around it - Botero's Venus, Barry Flanagan's Leaping Hare, George Segal's Rush Hour - all a few minutes' walk apart.
