Pâtisserie Deux Amis

A French patisserie and café of about six tables, on the Judd Street run down to St Pancras.

A small French room that has been on Judd Street for years: paper cloths on the tables, a counter of tarts and cakes, and coffee brought to you rather than handed over. The almond croissant is the thing it is known for, and the fruit tarts are made on proper pâte sucrée with crème pâtissière under the fruit.

There are baguette sandwiches at lunchtime and a few pastries to take away. The shop now keeps to weekends, which is worth knowing before a weekday walk down from the stations.
