Floral Street

A narrow cobbled run behind the Royal Opera House, hung with bunting and lined with shops.

Lanes & alleysCobbled

Bunting over Floral Street, Paul Smith on the right.

One of the old Covent Garden market streets, too tight for traffic and paved in setts, running parallel to Long Acre from Garrick Street to Bow Street. Paul Smith took a shop here in the 1970s and the fashion trade followed. Above it, the glazed bridge of the Royal Opera House crosses the street to the Ballet School, which is why you sometimes see dancers going over.
