Built in the 1860s as stables and coach houses for the big houses on Cornwall Gardens, and converted to homes when the horses went. Two round arches close each end, the cobbles were never taken up, and the residents have planted the whole length: wisteria over the arch in May, roses and camellias along the walls, bay trees at the doors. It is a working street of houses, so it is quiet, and it rewards being quiet in.
