Persian ice cream, built on the flavours the founder Laura Dawson grew up with. Saffron, rose and pistachio is the one to start with - Iranian saffron, rose water distilled from Damascena roses, Iranian pistachios chopped through it. Turkish coffee blends Kurukahveci Mehmet Efendi with Italian espresso; chocolate and halva crumbles Arabic sesame halva over a base made with 70 per cent Callebaut. The signature is the Baklava Ice Cream Sandwich, a scoop pressed between two pieces of honey-soaked baklava, which Condé Nast Traveller called one of London's best desserts of 2020. A full vegan list runs alongside the dairy one.
This one looks across Brushfield Street at Old Spitalfields Market, with Hawksmoor's Christ Church closing the view at the end of it, and there is a good deal of seating inside.
