Georgian House Hotel: the Wizard Chambers

A Pimlico hotel with wizard rooms behind a bookcase, and a wizard afternoon tea and potion-making that anyone can book.

Tours & experiencesGo inside

Unofficial, and the hotel says so, but done with more conviction than most: the Wizard Chambers are reached through a secret bookcase and a candlelit passage of portraits, and have four-poster beds hung with velvet, stone walls, stained glass, trunks, cauldrons and a stove. For those not staying, the Pimlico Pantry downstairs does a three-course wizard afternoon tea at weekends and a potion-making session in which the potions are cocktails. A Victorian terrace hotel a few streets from Victoria station, run by the same family for generations.
