The platform, the alley, the bank and the bridge: where the books are set and the films were shot, the studio where the sets still stand, and the day trips to Hogwarts' lake and the Quidditch woods.
Where Mr Weasley fights the ticket barrier in Order of the Phoenix.
Filming locationFree
Arthur Weasley takes Harry into the Ministry through the Underground, marvelling at the barriers, and the scene was shot in the concrete-and-steel cathedral of Westminster's Jubilee line station, Michael Hopkins's 1999 box of escalators criss-crossing a void. The Ministry's visitors' entrance, a red telephone box, was outside on Scotland Place. The station sits beneath Portcullis House, and Big Ben is at the top of the stairs.
